About Bill Jarcho
Warped whimsical-land is where I live as an artist and writer. My artwork often has a sense of playful oddness to it and my stories use quirky humor and rhyme to elicit laughter and illuminate the heart. Presently, along with concocting art in my studio, I am writing and illustrating my children’s books under my nom de plume, William J. Zambini. And you can purchase my brand new book, “Rhymes and Ditties for Adventurous Kiddies” at Amazon by clicking on this link here.
I have been an animation director / creative director; creating shorts, station ID’s, commercials, and videos for Nickelodeon, MTV, ABC Saturday Morning TV, and Committee for Children, and The Republican National Committee (Untrue) to name a few. I have directed episodes of Eddie Murphy’s animated series “The PJ’s” on Fox TV and created and performed giant puppets and puppet shows for Zambini Brothers, drawn cartoons for the local newspaper and CfC, as well as been the director of The Conscious Cartoons International Animation Festival. I have won numerous awards for my commercial work and independent animated shorts, which have played at Animation festivals throughout the world and too many times on my computer. I have also written and created puppet shows (several of which received grants from the Henson foundation) which I’ve performed for thousands of kids at elementary schools, libraries, and festivals throughout the Pacific NW. I have also been seen dressed as a cowboy riding a giant chicken on occasion (True).
I live on Vashon Island, WA with my wife and 2 dog children who will be off to Ivy league colleges in the fall.
